There is a way to “win” in the game Minecraft, to do this you need to destroy the Ender Dragon, or as it is often called, the Ender Dragon. This is the most difficult task available in the game.

To do this, you will have to go to the Island of the End, located in a desert dimension, and kill the dragon living there. If you can kill the dragon, you will get a unique opportunity to explore the rest of his island, after which you can return back to your world.

Below is a step-by-step guide on how to get to this island and defeat the dragon: first we have to find the Fortress, then activate the portal and go through it to complete the task.

Find a portal in the Fortress

Have you found the fortress yet? If so, then the start was successful. In it you need to find a room that looks like this:

If you haven't found the Fortress yet, then craft several items called the Eye of Ender. You will need about 15–20 pieces. Put them in your inventory and get ready for a long journey.

It’s worth noting right away that Edge and Ender are synonyms. But it’s more correct to say Ender, since the developers use this term in the game.

You can craft the Eye from Ender pearls and fire powder.

Ender Pearls periodically fall out of the Ender when he dies (from version 1.9 the Eye immediately falls out of him). It is not difficult to find them at any time of the day; at night they often come to settlements.

The mob usually walks back and forth aimlessly, often picking up blocks and placing them elsewhere.

Fire powder is obtained by crafting a fire rod, which drops from Ifrit.

Ifrit spawners are located in Nether fortresses.

So, you have defeated everyone and received enough Oko. Now go out into the open and throw it up. You need to select the Eye in the quick access panel and throw it into the air, keeping an eye on it: it will fall to the ground in the direction of the nearest Fortress.

Usually the Eye can be picked up and thrown again, but sometimes it breaks.

The toss controls vary depending on the version of Minecraft:

• On PC/Mac, right-click on the block you want to throw the Eye on;
• On PS3 and PS4, press L2 on the joystick;
• On Xbox 360 and Xbox One, press LT on the joystick;

Walk in the indicated direction for a while, then throw the Eye again. Leave a trail of torches or other objects behind you so as not to get lost, as the path may not be close.

Keep throwing the Eye of the End and follow it until it constantly hovers over one point. This is where the Fortress is located. Having started excavation work and reached the Fortress, you need to travel through its gloomy corridors in search of a portal.

During your search, you will find treasure chests, skeletons, zombies and other hostile mobs that will try to kill you.

The portal must be activated through Ender's eyes.

Clue: if the Fortress is located far from your home, you can build a railway to reduce travel time.

End Portal Activation

After examining the Fortress and finding it, place one Eye in the empty blocks, this will activate the portal.

The number of empty blocks that need to be filled with the Eye is randomly generated.

Now you can safely enter the portal and fight the Ender Dragon.

How to make a portal to the End in creative mode

Required components:

1. white wool - 20;
2. red wool - 8;
3. black wool - 7;
4. Edge portal frame blocks - 12;
5. Eye of the Edge - 12;
6. blocks of wooden steps - 3;
7. sword or bow for killing chickens.

Step 1

Make a platform 5 by 5 blocks. You can use wool for it. Without the platform, the portal will not work!

Step 2

Note that the green End Portal frame blocks, like the example step blocks, can be placed in multiple directions. Understanding this step is important to complete the project and launch the portal.

Please note that here the blocks and steps are installed at an angle of 90 degrees to each other!

Step 3

Now you can understand how to position the first of the four sides. This is clearly visible in the picture below:

Place them three in a row. The steps are used to clearly show the direction of rotation of the green blocks; they are not needed to build the portal.

Step 4

Rotate the blocks 90 degrees and repeat the process to create the next side of the portal.

Step 5

Create a third side of the portal.

Step 6

Create the fourth side of the portal.

The portal frame is ready.

Step 7

The Eye of Ender can now be placed into portal frame blocks.

Take the Eye in your hand and right-click on the block you want to place it on.

Step 8

Place 12 eyes of Ender in the blocks and the portal will work.

If the portal does not open, it means you have mixed up the direction of installing the green blocks somewhere. Check their locations.

Jump into the portal and enjoy a new dimension.

End portal properties

Unlike the portal to the Nether, the End portal is one-way. Once entered, the player will not be able to return and will end up on a 5 x 5 obsidian platform, which can be in the air or underground.

Breaking the frame block of an active portal does not deactivate it. This is only possible with the use of mods, since the portal frame is rock solid. There is no way to deactivate the portal without.

The active part of the portal emits level 15 light, although there is no benefit from it without mods.

An active End portal can be obtained using mods; it instantly teleports the player who touches it. On multiplayer servers this is used as a trap, although most servers do not allow indestructible blocks.

Equipment

Prepare for battle with the following equipment. You can place chests with sets of equipment near the portal; if you die in the Land, you can quickly take another set. You can also put a bed and sleep in it, so that you can return to the Land without traveling again from the base to the Fortress.

When you go through a portal, you need to be prepared for a tough battle.

• Armor: the best available, preferably reinforced diamond armor;
• Shoes: There is a high chance of falling from great heights during battle, so shoes with Zero Gravity may come in handy;
• Sword: you can kill a dragon with different weapons, the best of which is a diamond sword, preferably enchanted with a high level of Sharpness;
• Pickaxe: you shouldn’t leave the house without it;
• Bow and arrows: more arrows, at least two quivers;
• Food: useful for treatment;
• Ladders: three or more for climbing;
• Edge Pearls: useful for teleportation;
• Blocks: one or two sets, made of cobblestones or other materials;
• Potions (optional): healing and regeneration will never interfere in battle; It’s dark in the Land, so a night vision potion will help;
• Pumpkin (optional): The Land is full of Enders. If you wear a pumpkin instead of a helmet, you can avoid battles with them, but visibility will deteriorate;
• Piston and redstone source (torch, lever or button) to collect dragon eggs after victory.
• Glass vessels - for collecting dragon breath to create potions.

Let's go to the Edge

When you are ready, enter the portal. You will find yourself on an obsidian platform in a strange place of greenish stone of the End, inhabited by wanderers. You will fight in a circle of obsidian pillars called the End Pillars.

If you find yourself in a small cave, dig a ladder to the surface. If you are on a flying platform far from the mainland (as in the picture), throw an Ender Pearl for teleportation or build a bridge with the blocks that you had the foresight to take with you.

Don't look at the Enders (Edgewalkers), then they won't bother you. If you can't avoid staring, use a pumpkin instead of a helmet.

The dragon can attack in different ways: fireballs and breath. Both of these attacks leave a cloud of poison that you need to stay away from. It also deals damage by hitting with its head or wings, but armor should keep the damage to a minimum.

The dragon is healed when it flies near the End crystal, so you need to destroy the crystal first and only then attack the dragon.

The main risk is that the dragon can throw the player into the air or throw him off a high pillar, causing great damage when falling. Shoes with the "Zero Gravity" enchantment will reduce the damage; Ender pearls or a bucket of water can also help.

When a dragon is charging towards you, a hit to the head with a sword or arrow can cause it to stop attacking.

Destroying the End Crystal

Each End pillar contains a crystal at the end. You need to destroy them before you fight the dragon. Some of them can be shot from the ground with a bow.

The main danger is falling from a high pole.

Two crystals are protected by an iron cage; you have to climb up and break the cage with a pickaxe.

Climb the ladder to the End Crystal in the cage.

By standing at the top of the stairs a block below the pillar level, you can destroy the crystal without harming yourself and have good aim at the crystals on the other pillars.

Hint: The dragon will attack you more often as the crystals are destroyed, so the most difficult climbs should be done first.

Kill the dragon

Once the crystals are destroyed, it's time to deal with the dragon. About half the time he flies over the exit portal from this world in the center of the arena. At this time, he can be attacked with a sword.

Stay behind the dragon to avoid being hit by its head and wings. After some time he will fly away, but will soon return. Continue this until the dragon is killed.

When the Ender Dragon is Dead

After this, several events will happen:

1. You will get a lot of points;
2. The portal to the normal world will become active (there will be a dragon egg at the top of the pillar);
3. A Gate will appear giving access to the outer islands.

If you bring empty glass vessels with you, you can collect dragon's breath in them to create potions.

If you try to break the dragon egg, it will teleport to another location nearby. If you want to pick up an egg as a trophy, you need to act quietly:

1. Close the exit portal with blocks to prevent the egg from falling through it;
2. Place the plunger next to the egg so that when activated it will push it;
3. Activate the piston using the red torch, button or lever.

Access to outer islands

After the death of the dragon, a gate will appear on the border of the island that can teleport you to another part of the Land, where there are many islands and cities to explore. But the gate is too small in size. How to get through them?

Answer: Throw the Ender Pearl into the teleporter.

When you get tired of this area, return to the place where the dragon died and jump into the portal to return home and “win” in Minecraft.

You can respawn the dragon and do it all over again by creating four End Crystals and placing them around the exit portal.

Crafting an Edge crystal.

To craft the crystal you will need the Eye of Ender, seven units of glass and a Ghast tear. And if there shouldn’t be any problems with the glass and eyes, then Ghast’s tear will make you sweat.

Ghasts offend in Hell. Hunting them is a very difficult and dangerous task, as they fly high in a cave or above lava.

To complete the Minecraft game, you need to kill the final boss - the Ender Dragon, which lives in the end. To get to the end, you need a special portal to the end, which can be found in one of the fortresses. If you don’t want to waste time looking for a portal to the end, you should think about how to make a portal to the end with your own hands. It is important to know that the portal to the end can only be built using administrative commands or cheats. We will look at both the use of commands and the special TooManyItems mod.

To make a portal to the end you will need:

• 12 portal blocks
• 12 Enderman Eyes (Eye of the End)

You can get them in two ways.

Administrative commands

The portal block can be obtained using a special administrative command. Open the console (by pressing T) and enter the command./give 120 12. In this command, the first number is the ID of the desired object, and the second is the number of requested objects.

If you have not yet crafted the required number of enderman eyes, and you do not have the resources necessary for crafting (12 powders and 12 enderman pearls), then you can also get them using the command line. In this case, the required command is ./give 381 12. As you can see, the enderman's eye has ID 381.

Now that you have everything you need, you can build a portal to the end.

1. Arrange the 12 portal blocks as shown in the screenshot below to create a portal frame.
2. Place an enderman eye frame on each block to open a portal.

The third dimension, also known as the End, represents the most interesting world of Minecraft reality.

The portal to the End itself has a bluish color and is located mainly in the fortress. So, getting there, the player must find a room with a lava pool and stairs leading to the portal. To activate the portal you need to have the “Eye of the Edge”. The portal design already has them, but in insufficient quantities.

For full activation, you need to add the missing elements - 12 Endermen eyes. The latter are crafted from fire powder and Endermen pearls.



The same component will help you find the portal hidden in the tower. It happens that the eye, when tossed with the right mouse button, shows the path down into the ground or into the water. Then it is quite possible that the portal is in a cave or underwater.

Can I do it myself?
You can create a portal in creative mode or using administrative commands in standard mode. You can apply them by first downloading the TooManyItems modification. For example, to build a portal you will need 12 portal blocks and the same number of endermen eyes. To get the required quantity, use the command /give Item ID 12 (item quantity). Accordingly, the block ID is 120, the edge eye ID is 381.

End Portal Frame is the English name for the End Portal in Minecraft. It is also called the portal to the End, the portal to the End or End portal frame.

Let's look at these two concepts. The blocks resemble endernyak (Edge stones), which have a decorative finish. Unlike a portal, they cannot be made, but they can be found in the fortress where they were generated. The search is carried out using the Eye of Ender. When you find a room with a portal to Ender, it is impossible to confuse it with anything else: 12 blocks are laid out in a square with an internal 3x3 hole. Then a fair question will arise - how to activate the portal to the Ender world? And there is a simple answer to this: one Eye of Ender must be placed in each block of the End portal frame.

If you have the necessary resources, there is nothing difficult in laying out a frame of 12 blocks when the internal hole is 3 by 3 blocks, and installing one eye in each. It is more difficult to make this square turn into a real portal that can move the player to another dimension.

Look carefully at the image. What do we see? One really functioning portal to the Ender world, and another structure will not move anyone anywhere. Why?

How to make the right Ender portal?

In connection with all the information presented above, we note that there is still a secret, but it is as simple as it is key. Without this, the portal to Ender will not work. The whole secret lies in the correct installation of Ender's eyes. If you look carefully when they are in the block, you will notice small white squares in the upper left corner of each eye. So, they should be located on the outside of the entrance to the portal. The screenshot demonstrates this clearly:

The white dots on three sides of the portal are circled in red to make it more clear. On the fourth side everything is exactly the same. If at least one eye is placed in the wrong way, on the wrong side, then that’s it - the portal will not work. Thus, the correct installation of the eyes of Ender guarantees the creation of a functional portal that you can install in any convenient place, even underwater.

An Ender portal in Minecraft is definitely needed. But listing all its advantages and capabilities is a matter for other, voluminous articles. But don’t lose sight of the more familiar devices, which are likely to be used much more often in the game.

In the official version of the game - without add-ons or mods - you can explore a total of three worlds. In the first one you appear - this is an ordinary world in which most of the events take place. However, you can also travel to other worlds - for this you will need portals. The lower world, which many players simply call Hell, is the most popular. You can create a portal into it without any problems; there are many useful resources there, as well as unique mobs. But End is a world that was added last by the developers. The fact is that it fully lives up to its name - it means the end of the game. which you need to go to only if you have played enough and want to either complete your journey or start it over. However, there is one more thing you need to know: there is no answer to the question of what is the End in Minecraft. It already exists somewhere in the world, you just need to activate it.

Blaze Rods

As mentioned earlier, the Nether has quite a variety of mobs that you won't find anywhere else. And if you are interested in Minecraft active, you need to start hunting blazes in hell. These small mobs will drop rods upon death, which you need to collect. Get as many as you can because chances are you won't get it right the first time. It can only be found, and it is located in one of the castles that are scattered throughout the game world. But how to find the right one? Here you already need to use the created Enderman eyes. When you take the eye in your hand, it will begin to jump, deviating in the direction in which the nearest portal is located. With the help of such a unique compass, you can quickly find the entrance to a new dimension.

Portal activation

So, you have found a portal, or rather its frame, which is not yet active. Please note that there are indentations along the perimeter of the frame, the number of which should be 12. If a few pieces are missing, do not waste your eyes, go in search of another portal, using the same method. However, if the portal is intact, then you need to put an Enderman eye in each of the recesses, after which it will automatically activate. But don't rush to go inside - remember that this will lead to the end of the current game. On the other side you will find the main boss in the game, who is also the most powerful, so you need to properly prepare for the trip to the End. And only after that should you enter the activated portal.
