Our article will help you understand the operation of such a function as teleportation. This is a very convenient thing that allows you to instantly find yourself where the process you need is going on and not waste time moving to the desired point under your own power.

Enabling teleportation in Minecraft:

  1. Launch the Minecraft game (you need to double-click on the shortcut, click “PLAY”).
  2. Select single player mode. Choose the game world where you like best. To create a new one, click “Create a new world”, these options are located below. Don't forget to activate cheats for creative mode.
  3. Click “Play in the selected world”, you will also find this button at the bottom.
  4. Decide which location you should choose to teleport to. Remember your school geography lessons and how to navigate using a map. Three coordinates help you determine your location. The "X" coordinate shows the direction to the east and west. The origin is taken from the spawn point, coordinate “Z”. The "Y" coordinate shows the height. Press the F3, Fn+F3, or Alt+Fn+F3 keys, located on new Mac computers.
  5. The console opens and “teleport” is entered, write the name xyz in the console. Instead of a name, use your nickname, “x” is the east/west coordinate, “y” is the height, “z” is the location in the north/south. The command you typed will be something like this: /teleport playerman 0 25 75
  6. Press the treasured ⌅ Enter
  7. The result is teleportation of your character to the desired point.

Tips on how to enable teleportation in Minecraft on a server:

  • You can also select the player you want to reach.
  • In the host parameters, open “Host Options”.
  • Find the "Teleport to Player" option.
  • First, you should open a list of all players to whom teleportation is available.
  • Select the player's name and you will be teleported to him.

Instead of XYZ coordinates, enter the name of the desired player. Check that everything is written without errors, sometimes it is easier to copy the name and paste.

Don't forget that your nickname is case sensitive. Remember that a positive value of the chosen coordinates ("x" and "z") moves you east and south, the higher it is, the further you will be transported. Negative ones (“x” and “z”) respectively send you to the west and north.

How to disable teleportation to yourself in Minecraft

To manage some useful features, go to “settings” more often and work with commands. For example, to disable the ability to teleport to you:

  • “tpaccept” - allow the player to teleport to you;
  • “tpdeny” - prohibit characters from teleporting to you;
  • “home” - instant teleportation home.

If you choose any unknown point for teleport, be prepared for surprises in the form of ending up in the center of a volcano or on the seabed. But you can always return home if you have time.

These commands can be executed in the console of a running server, or they can be entered in the game by a user who has server administrator rights assigned (assigned by the command op). To launch the console in the game you need to press the “T” or “/” key. In the player console, all commands must begin with a "/" character. On the server, commands can be written without the “/” character.

In Minecraft since version 1.4.2 it is possible to write any console command to command block, which will allow you to perform it when receiving a redstone signal (via a redstone wire).
