Huawei MediaPad M3 Lite 10 is a mid-range tablet with a large display. The device was announced in early June 2017. Its distinctive feature is a massive screen, as well as high-quality sound.

Appearance and ergonomics

The Huawei MediaPad M3 Light 10 is dominated by a practical design, thanks to which the device is truly convenient to use. There are rather thin frames around the huge display. There is also a metal frame around the entire perimeter, making the appearance of the tablet computer very elegant.

Below the screen there is a navigation button with a built-in fingerprint scanner. The edges of the aluminum case are rounded, which allows you to comfortably use the gadget in any situation. Available colors: space grey, silver and gold. Dimensions: height - 241.3 mm, width - 171.5 mm, thickness - 7.1 mm, weight - 460 g.

Display

The screen in the MediaPad M3 Lite 10 tablet is not only large, but also of high quality. Its 10.1-inch diagonal is complemented by an FHD resolution of 1920 by 1200 pixels. It uses a classic IPS matrix with maximum viewing angles. There is a serious reserve of brightness. The backlight level is adjusted automatically, and this is done very correctly.

Color rendition is close to natural shades. If you want to change the color scheme, you can do it yourself using the settings. Thanks to the oleophobic coating, no streaks or fingerprints remain on the display.

Hardware and performance

The MediaPad M3 Light 10 runs Android 7.0, which comes straight out of the box. This operating system is modified using the proprietary EMUI 5.1 shell. A processor with eight Snapdragon 435 cores with a maximum frequency of 1400 MHz is responsible for performance. The Adreno 505 chip appears to be a graphics accelerator.

For a mid-class tablet, having 3 GB of RAM looks like a definite plus. The amount of internal memory is 16 GB or 32 GB depending on the model. The memory can be expanded using MicroSD cards (up to 128 GB). In the synthetic AnTuTu test, the device scores more than 47,000 points. Games can be played comfortably only at lower graphics settings. As for everyday work, there are no problems here, everything functions smoothly and stably.

Communication and sound

The Chinese manufacturer paid special attention to the sound system of the Huawei MediaPad M3 Lite 10, which is worthy of praise. To create surround sound, four powerful speakers are used at once, which are capable of realizing a stereo effect. SWS 3.0 technology makes the tablet instantly respond to the slightest actions and turns. Thanks to collaboration with Harman Kardon, crystal clear sound was achieved. There is support for LTE, Bluetooth 4.1 and Wi-Fi Direct.

Camera

Present in the Huawei MediaPad M3 Light 10 and an 8-megapixel main camera with aperture 2.0 and autofocus. In the daytime, its capabilities are enough to take excellent photographs comparable to the level of good smartphones. There is an 8-megapixel front camera, but without automatic focusing.

conclusions

MediaPad M3 Lite 10 definitely deserves the attention of buyers. A tablet PC costs from 21,000 rubles, and for this amount the user gets a practical and stylish metal case, high-quality acoustics, a truly massive screen and an abundance of memory.

Pros:

  • Great sound system.
  • Large and juicy display.
  • Stylish aluminum body.
  • Lots of permanent and RAM memory.
  • High-quality oleophobic layer.

Minuses:

  • Not the most powerful filling.
  • Average battery life.

Video reviews

We conducted a review Huawei MediaPad M3 Lite 10 32Gb, a tablet from the Chinese electronics giant.

According to the manufacturer, the model is a multimedia station wagon that serves equally well as a device for games and a mobile cinema.

  • Screen diagonal 10.1”, TFT IPS matrix with a total resolution of 1920x1200.

  • Battery capacity: 6660 mAh (non-removable).

  • Weight: 460g.

Huawei MediaPad M3 Lite 10 32Gb comes in two versions: 32Gb and 16GB, but in this review we will focus specifically on the model with 32Gb of internal memory.

Contents of delivery

In addition to the tablet itself, the box contains a charger, a micro-USB cable, a special tool for removing and installing SIM cards, documentation and operating instructions.

No additional accessories (case, headphones) are supplied, although it would be a good idea to get them.

Design

The appearance of the gadget is not distinguished by unusual design solutions.

The MediaPad M3 Lite 10 comes in several color options: silver, gold and dark gray.

The front side of the tablet is white or black.

With a screen diagonal of 10 inches, the device does not look bulky.

The bezel around the screen looks a little thick for 2018, making the tablet seem a little larger than it feels in the hand.

At the same time, the size of the gadget itself and the screen remains within comfortable limits.

Additionally, the top and bottom frames are equipped with decorative holes, behind which 4 speakers are hidden.

Making listening to music and watching movies more enjoyable.

Front side

The device is designed to work in landscape orientation.

On the right side are the power button and volume keys.

On the left side there are connectors for connecting headphones, charging and a tray for installing SIM cards.

Everything is standard, but when making video calls with a headset or charger connected, holding the tablet in your hands is not entirely comfortable.

The same applies to speakerphone, because... You can accidentally cover the microphone hole with your finger.

But the front camera is located exactly in the middle of the top panel, making Skype calls more comfortable (compared to models on which the front camera is installed in the corner).

Additionally, on the front there is a small company logo, an LED indicator and a fingerprint scanner.

Backside

On the back there is only a slightly protruding corner camera and a small Huawei logo.

The case material is metal, which is why the tablet slips a little in your hand.

Therefore, for more comfortable work, you can purchase a silicone case.

Due to the presence of aluminum in the M3 line and a thinner body, the model weighs 10% less than its predecessors (T3 series), which is acceptable for a tablet with a screen diagonal of 10 inches.

After unpacking and first acquaintance with the device, we can draw the following conclusions regarding the build quality:

1 The power and volume buttons move smoothly and work clearly the first time you press them. They do not dangle, which is why the risk of sticking is minimal.

2 There is no creaking or play. The connectors are quite recessed and do not interfere during use.

If we talk about ergonomics, the device is fully designed to work in landscape orientation.

This is evidenced by the location of the speakers, camera and connectors.

Therefore, this may seem like a minor drawback for some users.

Screen

Huawei MediaPad M3 Lite 10 features a built-in IPS matrix with a resolution of 1920 by 1200 pixels.

Thanks to this, the screen can easily be classified as Full-HD, which is not entirely a plus.

The final aspect ratio is 16:10, which is much cooler than the standard 16:9.

But while promising a mobile cinema, the developers for some reason did not take into account that most films are released in 16:9 format.

The pixel density is 224 ppi, which also leaves much to be desired.

At close range, individual pixels can be seen.

But if you don’t find fault, there is no discomfort during use.

By default, the screen temperature is cold, only 7000K, but the problem is easily solved by using third-party software.

The maximum brightness of 451 cd/m2 allows you to comfortably use the tablet when exposed to direct sunlight, but with slight losses in color rendition.

Adaptive adjustment and built-in uniform backlighting, with a utility to reduce blue light, make it possible to read books and view web pages without the risk of damaging your eyesight.

The picture quality is pleasant. Additionally, the wide viewing angle is pleasing, so the tablet can be used to watch videos with a small group.

There is an oleophobic coating that protects the display from fingerprints and smudges.

The MediaPad M3 Lite 10 has an average screen, which is suitable for a budget device, but not for the M3 series, which promised to become the flagship in the mid-price segment.

Sound

A separate point worth mentioning is the sound quality.

And the Harman Kardon logo is not here by chance.

For those who don’t know, this is a company that produces Hi-Fi radio electronics.

Therefore, MediaPad M3 Lite 10 can easily be classified as a mobile Hi-Fi.

The tablet has 4 loud speakers, this is its strong point.

As a result we get:

  • High volume built-in speakers that can rival a small wireless speaker.
  • Wide frequency range, good bass and lows.
  • Support for SWS 3.0 effects (automatic equalizer adjustment when switching between audio and video).

But there were some downsides.

When playing music at maximum volume, the bass and mid frequencies are noticeably “lost”, and already at 80% obvious distortion of the audio signal can be heard.

When using a headset (including a highly sensitive one), this problem does not exist.

Built-in speakers are suitable for playing movies and videos. But it’s better to listen to music through headphones.

Interface

The device runs on the Android operating system version 7.0.

If you are familiar with smartphones from Huawei, then in the Mediapad M3 Lite 10 the EMUI 5.1 shell has virtually no visual differences, if you do not take into account the forced changes associated with the dimensions of the gadget and the larger screen diagonal.

Touch navigation keys conveniently move between screens or to the center using a swipe - no need to constantly grab the tablet.

If we talk about other proprietary features of the firmware, users were given the opportunity to choose the design style of the home screen.

You can do this with one touch by going to settings and checking one of the available options for displaying it:

1 Classical. All applications installed on the device can be accessed through a special menu.

2 Custom. Familiar for owners of devices based on Android and iOS, in which shortcuts are located on the working screens.

The split-screen function, standard for version 7 of the Android operating system, in the Huawei MediaPad M3 Lite 10 makes using tablets more comfortable.

You can simultaneously view several pages and work with two applications at once.

I think I’ll add more to the review later.

I like: Excellent screen, quick settings, the 7 has an even more user-friendly interface. The design is beyond praise - at the level of the leaders of this market, very light, fits perfectly in the hand, took the golden one.
A minimum of applications are preinstalled, which is good news - there is little unnecessary garbage. There is the necessary Microsoft package, which I am very pleased with.
Arrived packed in a box, but already with Sberbank))) I don’t like it: - Review: I’ve just unpacked it and set it up, but I already like it. Not worse than Samsung, but the price tag is more pleasing.
I think I’ll add more to the review later.

UPD: I’ve been actively using it for almost three weeks now. Satisfied, no complaints. The tablet is fast, the video is beyond praise, the sound too. I don’t play with toys - I can’t say anything. For surfing, video and audio - great. As a navigator - also excellent. Withstood travel abroad, use on an airplane and in the mountains.
Don't take a branded case - I pasted a branded film and put the tablet in their case. Now from the fold of the cover there is a stripe on the film that cannot be wiped off by anything. When turned on, it is not visible, but is annoying with its existence.

I like: The perfect tablet.
In use for 1.5 months. I’m very pleased with the battery, I charge it once every 3-4 days, if you actively use it it’s enough for 2 days, the screen is good, the brightness is sufficient even in the sun, the sound is very loud for such a thin device. I'm very pleased with the fingerprint, it reads it in any position. Someone complained about thin frames, but in fact everything is fine with this, there is no lag, there is plenty of RAM. I was pleasantly pleased that the connection with Chinese headphones, speakers, and keyboard had no problems at all. There are many settings, both for the keyboard and in general, I don’t want to choose. I still want to say a lot of good things, I’ve listed the main ones.
I used to use Samsung, in my opinion it’s better and cheaper. I don’t like: Sometimes the Google search pops up when changing the language, it’s probably a matter of settings Review: The best I’ve had, the build is high quality

I like: Design, weight, performance, build quality, screen and of course the sound! I don't like: Didn't find it. Review: The tablet was bought mainly for use on the road and at work as a media device, which it does great, 4G flies (Moscow... center), in general, I can safely say... this is an elite Chinese product for not a lot of money!! !

I like: Sound (4 speakers, relatively high quality and loud, I’ve never seen better in tablets)
Screen
Fingerprint sensor I don’t like: The processor is very so-so for the price, I don’t know whether the touch or the processor is to blame, but sometimes the tablet slows down in basic interface things like pressing buttons and scrolling, after 625 in redmi note 4 this is noticeable. I played around with the touchpad test - there were no problems with clicks. I use toys very rarely, there are no obvious problems with them. Review: No problems with the branded case have been found yet, I have not glued films to the glass, probably the original screen is stronger.
I took it for 15 and a trifle, for 22 I would have chosen the Lenovo Tab 4 for the 625th processor (the speakers are worse but not so critical for me), if not for the processor the tablet would be close to ideal.

I like: Pleasantly surprised by this model. Very high quality build. Good viewing angles. Full Full HD. I was very pleased with the 4 speakers. Good sound. (I would even say excellent, compared to similar models from other manufacturers) Costs 7 android. There is little pre-installed junk. With an uptime of 7 days, nothing suspicious or slow was noticed. Fingerprint login works perfectly. I don't like it: haven't found it yet. Review: I recommend purchasing.

I like: Design, fast Android, bug-free, build quality, sensitive touch screen, lightweight, convenient size of the gadget, harman/kardon is gorgeous, choosing a case is not a problem. I don’t like: The hdmi tablet already has MHL, but the TV doesn’t yet. And this is a drawback of the TV, of course. The tablet is super Review: I've been using it for more than 2 months - no complaints. A high-quality, stylish gadget on the outside, and modern with all the necessary functions on the inside. I am very pleased with the quality of the material and workmanship.
I recommend it with a clear conscience!

I like: This review is written 7 days after purchasing the tablet and the review I previously left. So. The tablet looks very elegant. We don’t play games, so there’s nothing to say about “it doesn’t drag,” “lags don’t lag.” Immediately put the tablet in a branded case. It became more convenient to hold with one hand. The sound is excellent, loud, clear, frequencies are audible, does not fall through, does not wheeze, does not rattle. Very rich screen colors. It's comfortable to watch movies, the sound in the headphones is also good. The software is not loaded with unnecessary applications and they can be removed. The camera is at an acceptable level, the photo of the text is clear. In general, the tablet evokes positive emotions. I don’t like: The cover is very expensive for its quality (cheap vinyl or dermantine, it’s not clear) - 1500 rubles. Review: Just bought it, haven't used it yet. I rated it for appearance. He's great. The only disappointment is that the back cover is PLASTIC, and not metal, as stated on the website.

I like: Design, build quality, sound. I don't like: If you are going to download and store data on an external card, be sure to take an A1 certified module. Feedback: The problem was solved independently, I’ll leave the information for the story, maybe it will be useful to someone. When downloading data, the speed jumped from 0.01 to 2.5 Mb/s, despite the fact that I have a premium router at home and all other devices always download at a speed of ~10 Mb/s. Active searches for the problem narrowed the circle to the “Download + Memory Card” combination. I checked the card (original Samsung, result 70/30) - I decided to buy a new one, also Samsung, just in case, before installation I checked - 90/50 - but for the tablet there is no difference - it pumped at close to zero speeds, and still does. In the end, it turned out that the tablet needed a flash drive with fast writing/reading of random blocks, and this is a rather rare beast, but they are already appearing. Buying a SanDisk Extreme A1 V30 helped me; from the moment I used this card, all the “lags” went away.

I like: - I don't like: This is not a flaw, but a feature of Android above 7
Review: I bought it for my wife before the New Year, she set everything up herself and was happy until the first reboot. And it turns out that you need to enter your account and password (the first password you entered on the device, changing the password in your account will not work) a complete reset (the hard drive does not help at all), I had to carry it with my head down to the store, and they to the service center. This is not a warranty case, so it costs money and time. Don't forget the password, and the tablet is good, thin, light - a feminine theme.

I like: Good sound from the speakers, good screen, thin and light. Everything works as it should, WiFi and LTE Internet connects immediately, GPS satellites are located in a few seconds. Battery consumption is well optimized; in the mode - children play an hour a day in puzzles, it lasted more than 10 days on a single charge. With active use, it stays calm for three days. I don't like: Not enough space for files. I immediately bought a 64GB flash drive. The memory and processor have no reserve for the future, although right now I don’t feel any slowdowns. Review: In addition to the flash drive, I also bought a case and a matte film for the screen. With film there is no glare and fingerprints are much less noticeable.

I like: Bright rich screen, beautiful appearance, very pleasant sound quality, lightweight. Aluminum body (at least it seems so to me) What I don't like: No LED flash or pressure sensor. Average battery life. Review: I bought it as a gift for my parents to work with IT, sometimes watch movies and listen to the radio. Mainly used at home. I chose between Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 SM-T585 16Gb and Lenovo Tab 4 TB-X704L 64Gb.
Samsung has weaker hardware and the cells burn out (I saw it in the store). Lenovo has more powerful hardware, there is a radio, but I didn’t like the appearance, the back plastic side is slippery. Worse quality of workmanship (according to reviews).
A nuance - at first my father’s touchscreen didn’t work well when it came into contact with the screen (it worked well for me). I updated the system and everything seemed to be fine.
Therefore, for a gift, the Huawei MediaPad M3 Lite, for the tasks that are required of it, was more suitable for me.

01/31/2018. All this time, they did not pay attention to the fact that it is impossible to make a touchscreen from the screen. The tablet does not have such a function. Maybe someone will find this information useful.

I like: Very fast. Nice screen. Lots of memory. New Android. I don’t like: Even when the vibration alert is turned off, some applications still vibrate. Review: So far it fully meets all expectations. Bought for toys.

I like: Doesn't slow down, excellent connection. Easy.
Great sound! I don't like: MicroUSB Review: Has everything you need. I was looking for a 10-inch model for my child, with LTE, FHD screen, memory card slot.

I like: I bought it for a child, the video and sound are wonderful, especially the image with eye protection, in which the eyes do not get tired even in the dark. Satisfied. I don't like it: No Review: -

I like: Bright, thin tablet with good (loud) sound. I don't like: Slow camera shutter - not critical for a tablet. Review: For surfing the Internet and watching movies - an excellent tablet!!!

I don’t like: - It’s inconvenient to hold in a vertical position; I touch the screen with my fingers or cover the light sensor and it starts to change brightness
- Android 7 from Huawei EMUI 5.1.1, I prefer pure Android from Google
- no night mode (I installed the night blue filter, but the android turns it off every day. On IOS I turned on the night mode to start at 23-00 and forgot)
Review: While I'm using it without a case, the glass is normal, but the back is already a little scratched. I advise you to immediately buy a case.

I like: Large screen, autonomy, loud sound, three colors of notification indicator with the ability to customize the color for different applications (green, red, orange, only blue is missing), many small and useful settings. I don’t like it: Well, yes, the fingerprint scanner slows down, but it accurately identifies the owner. Over there in Meizu M3 Note, a third party only needs to poke the scanner several times for the phone to unlock, but this doesn’t happen here. In principle, when using a tablet at home, you don’t have to set a lock; I only set it during vacation - just in case. Review: In general, I bought the tablet for a little less than 18 thousand, without ever holding this same tablet in my hands. I looked at a bunch of reviews and comparisons, there are tablets that are more powerful, but I still chose this one.
I’ve been using it for about a month, I haven’t encountered any glitches, I really like the operating system, you can configure a lot manually: limit permissions for some programs, reduce their power consumption. With fairly intensive use, the charge lasts two days. If you stick to your tablet only in the evenings, it will last much longer.
I don’t play games, but watching movies (or football) or surfing the Internet is pure pleasure.
I immediately hid the on-screen buttons, the scanner as a navigation button is very convenient, it reminds me of the Meizu navigation button, which for a long time seemed like a very cool solution, but now I’ve changed my mind)
And the tablet is surprisingly light, you can sit, lie, stand with it - and your hands won’t get tired. I took it with me on vacation as a lighter alternative to a laptop, and the main ms office applications were installed on it by default. Connected a corporate account - and it worked.
My version is with lte, but I didn’t install a SIM card, I didn’t check the connection. Although if I had taken an eight-inch one, I would probably have given up the smartphone in favor of it and used it with a wireless headset and bracelet.
The price of covers in Russia is a little disappointing, but, fortunately, they still have it.
After experience with a tablet, I began to look at smartphones from the same manufacturer. True, the prices are no longer so pleasant)

I like: -The best tablet in its segment in terms of price-cost. (I bought it for 20 thousand)
-Good screen and performance.
-It lasts quite a long time. Taking into account the use in honey, such as books and surfing the browser and accessing different social networks. It lasts for 2-3 days. (I use it for about 4-8 hours a day)
-Large screen, nice picture, responsive touchscreen and fingerprint sensor. I don’t like: -The only downside is the camera, but it would be stupid to expect a good camera from a tablet, although it’s not entirely bad either.
-Some may not have enough performance for games because... I don’t play games, but I saw from tests that the tablet can’t run all the games. (The same wot on minimum runs at 30 frames, maybe that’s enough, I don’t know)
-Well, they also wrote that the battery runs out quickly in games, but here again it’s more than enough for me to watch videos, read and search the Internet. Feedback: - Overall, I'm happy with the purchase. Well, in a year we'll see what happens. According to everyone's reviews, it seems to be good.
-I’m attaching a photo with a ruler to give you a better understanding of the sizes)

I like: 3 GB RAM, Snapdragon 435 processor and price at the time of purchase.
The latest update at the end of '18 made it possible to install
256 GB Samsung EVO I don’t like: When you hold it in your hands, the speakers overlap horizontally. Standing vertically with one hand is uncomfortably heavy. NOT for heavy games, play them with low graphics settings. Regular mobile games are great. Review: I took it to watch movies, sometimes youtube, read

Compact tablets have become completely uninteresting to many users - thanks to the growth in the number of phablets with screens from 5.5 inches. “Tablets” on 9-10 inches are still holding up, they have a stable audience. It is in this segment that the Huawei MediaPad M3 Lite 10 stands out. Using its example, I remembered why tablets are needed in general.

First impression

No, this is not Samsung, although there are similarities. This model resembles representatives of the Galaxy Tab line with a button under the display. True, it is not mechanical, but sensory, but it also hides Fingerprint's scanner. The sensor is quite fast, but this is only noticeable when unlocking with the screen on.

The tablet has a metal frame, while the back panel is entirely made of plastic. The front glass protecting the display is flat. The thickness of the case is only 7.1 mm, weight - 460 grams.

For its size, the Huawei MediaPad M3 Lite 10 cannot be called particularly heavy. You begin to feel these “almost half a kilo” only after an hour of mobile games, when you don’t let go of the tablet.

On the top and bottom edges (in horizontal orientation) you can see holes for four speakers. The USB port is located on the left, and at the bottom, which makes it difficult to use the device while charging - your left hand is blocking the port.

Design in the spirit of minimalism with a minimum of catchy elements in the design makes the gadget a completely universal solution in appearance, not tied to a specific audience of users. It may appeal to both business users and ordinary students.

The assembly, as always with Huawei, is perfect, there’s nothing to complain about. All elements fit as tightly as possible, there are no removable parts, nothing crunches.

Screen

Huawei MediaPad M3 Lite 10 has a 10.1-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1920x1200 pixels. Aspect ratio 16:10 suggests the presence of black bars when watching a full-screen video and in some other usage scenarios.

The brightness reserve is large, the color rendition is calm, the gamma is slightly shifted towards warm tones, but if necessary, it can be “tweaked” in the settings. The vision protection mode is also activated there, which is relevant for those who like to read a lot on a tablet.

The screen has anti-glare, but it is far from the most effective; the oleophobic coating also leaves much to be desired. Fingerprints constantly remain on the glass, which are not as easy to erase as it seems at first glance.

Performance

The tablet is equipped with an eight-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor with a frequency of 1.4 GHz and an Adreno 505 graphics accelerator. RAM capacity - 3 GB, built-in memory - 32 GB. The set is standard for a mid-level device; it is far from being a sub-flagship, as demonstrated by the benchmark results.

In AnTuTu, the MediaPad M3 Lite 10 scores 42,429 points, while in GeekBench it scores 642 in the single-core test and 2,841 points in the multi-core test. These are modest but expected figures. In new 3D games you won’t be able to enjoy graphics with such filling; more often the automation will select medium picture settings. There shouldn't be any problems with the action games of yesteryear. Dead Trigger 2, for example, flew perfectly at maximum.

Dead Trigger 2 feels great on the MediaPad M3 Lite 10

As for the performance of the tablet as a whole, it is really an average level, even close to state-priced ones. There are microlags, slowdowns, and unsmooth animation. All this is very atypical for Huawei devices with such a price tag.

Communications

The version of MediaPad M3 Lite 10 available in Russian retail has a SIM card slot with support for 2G/3G/4G. That is, the tablet is able to work in mobile operator networks like a smartphone. You can go online and even make calls from it.. In the latter case, the sound is output in hands-free mode. The sound quality is very good.

There is also support for Wi‑Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4 + 5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and GLONASS. The tablet is quite suitable for the role of a navigator in a car. There is no NFC chip, but this is hardly critical for a tablet, especially of this size.

System

The smartphone runs on Android 7.0 with EMUI 5.1 shell. In general, it is no different from that on smartphones: the same spare themes, simple design style and the ability to choose the style of the main screen: with a separate application window or automatic installation of games and programs on desktops.

In table settings you can adjust the icon grid, available options: 6x4, 6x5 and 5x5. A universal search for applications, contacts, messages and more is still available; it is launched by swiping down on any screen.

You can also disable the default navigation bar. In this case, all actions are transferred to the fingerprint scanner: tapping will go back, pressing will take you to the main table, and swiping will open the window of running applications.

Already out of the box, the tablet is pre-installed with the Microsoft Office software package, the Sberbank client, Yandex, Booking and some other non-standard applications. They can be removed if desired.

Cameras

The main camera is 8 megapixels with f/2.0 aperture and autofocus. In sunny weather, it may well please you - the picture turns out with good color reproduction, although with the “oversharpening” traditional for tablets. If there is a lack of light, an abundance of noise will significantly spoil the frame. However, the camera is definitely usable.

The front module is also 8 megapixels. Selfie quality is quite good for a tablet. At least with good light. If it is insufficient, the flash from the screen is automatically activated, which can save the frame.

Sound

The tablet has four sound sources at once, which provides an excellent stereo effect. Representatives of the Harman Kardon audio laboratory worked on its optimization, including their “painting” on the back panel of the device.

Thanks to proprietary SWS 3.0 technology, the speakers quickly respond to the position of the device and adjust the sound to it. The sound is pleasant, spacious and rich in detail.. Within the room, the tablet copes well with the role of a means of listening to music.

The location of the speakers is optimal for most scenarios for using the device, because when you hold the gadget from the sides, the sound sources are not blocked by your palms. However, in the case of video, when the tablet, for example, is simply placed on a table, the lower speakers are still obscured. However, even the top two are quite capable of reminding that this is a tablet with an emphasis on sound.

Autonomy

The 6,660 mAh battery showed its best side. You can only notice the leaking charge in games, due to which I tried to land the tablet as quickly as possible. The result of this stress test turned out to be very worthy - about 6-8 hours of work, depending on the game itself, of course.

In mixed mode of use with mail, feeds, YouTube videos and browsing (but without games), the gadget will easily last 2.5-3 days with 8 hours of screen light (Wi-Fi). If you connect to a mobile operator’s network and have a permanent LTE connection, you can count on 6 hours.

With good battery life, the manufacturer did not bother to support fast charging, although the installed chip is compatible with Quick Charge 3.0. As a result Full recharging takes about 4 hours.

Summary

Huawei MediaPad M3 Lite 10 is a well-built tablet with excellent sound and good battery life. It can be taken on long trips to watch movies, used as a navigator, or used as a backup means of communication in case there is nothing to charge a dead smartphone.

With a price of 20,990 rubles, it has only one critical drawback, leaving an imprint on the overall impression of use. We are, of course, talking about the processor - the Snapdragon 435 is quite economical in terms of power consumption, which is a plus, but it is still not capable of ensuring fast and smooth operation of an FHD tablet, which is a minus.

To some extent, this compensates for the fact that the two main competitors also do not have powerful chips. This is an eight-core Samsung Exynos 7870 (1.6 GHz), and, also with an emphasis on sound, is an even more modest quad-core MediaTek MT8163 (1.5 GHz). However, both of them have only 2 GB of RAM and run on Android 6.0, which is a double loss.

pros
  • stereo sound
  • good autonomy
  • rich communication capabilities
  • great build
  • there is vibration
Minuses
  • easily soiled screen
  • weak processor
  • long charging
