Skyrim: alchemy recipes (list). Skyrim enchantment potion Potion to increase skill recovery id
Skyrim would be a little sad and empty without alchemy. Well, what magical world can exist without wizards and what wizards can exist without various potions and herbs? The creators of Skyrim tried to make this item in the game extensive. Alchemy recipes in the game are available to both beginners and more advanced players, and you will find the table below, but for now we’ll talk about alchemy in TES5 and discuss why you won’t find a complete list of all crafts.
How many recipes for alchemical potions are there in Skyrim?
To date, the developers have published 119 alchemy crafting recipes available in the Skyrim universe. But they themselves speak of this discipline as something that cannot be fully comprehended. alchemy is called the science of experimentation. For example, when you are engaged in blacksmithing or when you enchant objects, you know the result in advance what it will be. The creators of the game say this about alchemy:
Often you don't know what you're doing, but as a result of experimenting with ingredients, you discover a powerful new potion or effect as a result of a random combination of various components.
Making alchemical potions
1. Standing at the alchemy table, you get the opportunity to take two different ingredients or three. However, when choosing the first two, you cannot mix the same ones. If the effect that a potion will cause is not known in advance, then it will be labeled as “Potion with an unknown effect.”
2. If the effects (there may be several) of the components do not match, then you will receive a slight increase in alchemy skills, but you will lose the ingredients. The laboratory itself will also help you here - the fact that the components did not bring any effect will be remembered and their mixing in the future will be highlighted in gray, hinting at futility.
3. If the effect or effects of the components match, then you will get a potion. It will greatly enhance all the effects that were present in the components. If the effect of the result is positive, then it will be classified as a potion, if harmful, then as a poison.
Example: Potion Making Health boost to Skyrim.
Blue Mountain Flower(Effects include: Health Regeneration, Skill Boost: Conjuration, Health Boost, Magic Regeneration Damage), and Glowing Mushroom(Damage Stamina, Increase Health, Increase Carry Weight, Damage Stamina Regeneration), you can combine them together to create Health Booster Potion.
The higher your alchemy skills, the more powerful and long-lasting actions you can create. For example, if a potion as standard provides the ability to restore health by 50 points, then with high alchemy skills the amount of health restoration in points will be higher. The same goes for the duration of the potion.
Your character's alchemy skills increase when:
- conduct research on the new effect of the ingredient,
- produce a potion,
- you make a potion, but it doesn’t work (your skill increases quite a bit).

Today on this page of our website you will learn about Skyrim (Skyrim: alchemy potion recipes), pumping, effects. When passing Skyrim at the most difficult level, the alchemy skill will definitely come in handy. After all, in difficult battles with the enemy, health and mana quickly dry up, and the potion goes with them.
Basic knowledge
Knowledge of the basics of alchemy is already half the success in this field. Alchemy is the art of preparing potions and poisons by mixing reagents. Ready-made recipes are very rare; the character will have to learn them by eating, sometimes unappetizing, substances (animal entrails or mountain herbs that are not the freshest), as well as through laboratory work.
Alchemy is an essential aid for all players and styles. Firstly, the character becomes stronger. Secondly, the brewed poison will cause critical damage to the enemy. Thirdly, the alchemical profession is an effective way to get rich.
Alchemist primarily belongs to the thief branch and, therefore, if you hope for a good boost to leveling up this skill, you need to receive the blessing of the “Thief Stone”, and also get a good night’s sleep before the process of brewing the potion itself, receiving a bonus to the increase in all skills. And it is advisable to be dressed in a full set of clothes to improve the resulting elixir. Rings, necklaces and any bracers are subject to such enchantment.
There is also a special calculator that will be very useful in your Skyrim alchemy adventures. Based on the specified parameters, he will analyze what the final result will be.
Recipes
1. Poison created from a spider egg and blue mountain flower. The advantage of this brew is its availability at the very beginning of the game and its considerable price, which will allow you to get at least some money at the start.
2. A potion containing salmon caviar, histcarp and garlic. This drug is one of the most expensive in the game, but is quite simple to produce because... There are tons of salmon spawning all over Skyrim. And histcarps are quite easy to get from alchemists and in port cities, where they are lying right in barrels of fish. The only disadvantage of this potion is that it is practically useless in practice because... “Water breathing” for 300 seconds is not really needed.
3. Mora tapinella, scale and creeping vine. This combination will not be cheap, and the included components are quite easy to loot throughout Skyrim.

I didn’t go into much detail, but here I will tell you in great detail how to create the most effective weapon step by step. I love running with the classic shield + sword pair, and we will create a masterpiece using the example of a one-handed sword.
We will need enchanting elixirs and blacksmith elixirs. Therefore, we will start by creating a set of things that improve the alchemist's skill.
Alchemist Item Set
Alchemy will help us in creating elixirs. If in your travels you were unable to find a potion that increases enchantment, then with an enchantment skill of 100, you can create a set of 4 items that gives you a total of (25 x 4) 100 units of alchemist skill. Using this kit you will create enchanting potions. It is advisable that you have 100% alchemy.
Using the created potions, you will temporarily enhance your enchanting abilities and again create a “young alchemist” set. A new set of items will have an even greater effect, so an enchanter's potion brewed in a new outfit will be even more effective. This will allow you to create an even better alchemy kit.
As a result, the maximum efficiency that I managed to achieve was creating an alchemist set with items that give 29 units of alchemy skill. In total (29 x 4) 116 units. This set of items allows you to brew an enchantment potion that improves your skill by 32 units.
What is needed to create the “young alchemist” kit.
Four items - ring, amulet, helmet (mask, tiara, etc.), gloves (bracers, etc.). 4 soul stones filled with souls no worse than the great ones (Grand). A couple of enchantment potions to enhance the skill. Hand-brewed potions usually last for 30 seconds. Therefore, you need to act quickly.
Ingredients for an enchantment potion.
Don't forget to equip the Young Alchemist kit if you've already created one. The potion will require two ingredients from the following list −
- Hagraven Claw
- Snowberries
- Blue Batterfly Wing
In the game you can find potions that give up to 25 skill units.
Blacksmith Item Set
The ideal alchemy kit (created before this) allows us to move on to the next step - creating a set of items for the blacksmith, as well as creating a blacksmith's elixir.
What do you need for a blacksmith kit?
To create, you again need four items - a ring, an amulet, a breastplate (cuirass, dress, blacksmith's apron, etc.), gloves (bracers, etc.). 4 soul stones filled with souls no worse than the great ones (Grand). A couple of enchantment potions to enhance the skill.
We should get a set that gives a total of (29 x 4) 116 units to the blacksmith skill.
Weapon Making
When creating the base of a weapon, you can have neither a blacksmith’s kit nor a blacksmith’s elixir. We will need all these items when sharpening. Therefore, it doesn’t matter whether you yourself created the appropriate basis for our formidable artifact or accidentally found a weapon somewhere during the game. Before sharpening, it doesn’t even matter what blacksmithing skill you have.
Sharpening is affected by the presence of blacksmith perks, which allow you to sharpen weapons made from the appropriate materials twice as well. Before sharpening, make sure you have enough sharpening materials. Put on the “young blacksmith’s” set, drink the blacksmith’s elixir, and go ahead.
Blacksmith's Elixir
Before creating, do not forget to put on the “young alchemist” kit. You will need two ingredients from the following list −
- Blisterwort (Fierce Mushroom)
- Glowing Mushroom
- Saber Cat Tooth
- Spriggan Sap
The elixir I received improved my blacksmith skills by 130 points! At the same time, I did not find blacksmith elixirs with a value of more than 50 in the game.
Improving weapon skill
« It is not the sword that makes the man, but the man is the sword.»
The final, very significant touch will be the enchantment of an “everyday” set of items to increase weapon skill. Again you will need enchantment elixirs, 4 items and 4 soul stones with souls no worse than Grand. In my case, this is the skill of using one-handed weapons and the following items: ring, amulet, gloves and boots.
Thanks to elixirs and developed enchantment skill, it is possible to increase the mastery skill by (47 x 4) 188 points.
Because enchantment will most likely allow you to apply two effects to each item, then think in advance what you need in addition to the basic weapon skill. The picture shows an example of gloves that, in addition to the skill with one-handed weapons, improve the skill with a bow, which I also often use.
Enchant weapons to deal extra damage
It would seem much more? But there is no limit to perfection. In addition to leveling up the enchanting skill itself, it would be a good idea to take a perk that allows you to apply two effects at a time. Next is a matter of taste.
I looked at magical effects in terms of maximum damage. Three elements (fire, cold, electricity) give three pairs of possible combinations. At the same time, the damage of the “Fire + Electricity” pair was less than for the remaining two pairs. This is due to the magic of the school of destruction, in which I took a perk that increases cold damage. The fire itself deals 1.5 damage (damage immediately upon impact and half from setting the enemy on fire). Therefore, I opted for the “fire + cold” pair.
Damage from each element added 36 points to weapon damage. In addition, we will add 18 points from the subsequent burning of the target and 36 points of endurance. Endurance can no longer be counted, because “dead people don’t sweat.” The total damage to health from magic will be up to 90 points.
Result
I did not take the blacksmith perks from the tree related to heavy armor metals (Ebony, Daedric, etc.). That. The best material with double sharpening turned out to be Glass - glass. Of course, there is a mod for Skyrim that adds many additional items to the forge list, including weapons made from dragon bone, and I could use the Dragonbone Sword as a basis, but I won’t consider this option for ethical reasons :) here.
Alchemy
Alchemy(orig. - "Alchemy") - a skill from the game The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, belonging to the category of thieves.
Alchemy is the art of making potions and poisons. Unlike previous games, alchemy can be practiced at alchemy tables and in laboratories, in various places that are encountered throughout the game.
The following races have a bonus to the Alchemy skill:
+5 bonus: Bosmer, Breton, Dunmer, Khajiit
Alchemy shops in Skyrim, located in all cities, offer a rich supply of potions, poisons, ingredients and tincture recipes. Please note that some bottles can only be bought or found on travels; you cannot make them yourself. These include, for example, potions that completely restore health, magic and strength, and an antidote. Ready-made tinctures are divided into useful ones (which you can consume yourself) and poisons (which you can lubricate your weapon with). All tinctures have several gradations in strength and duration of action (from instantaneous to long-term, varying duration of action).
To create potions you need an alchemy laboratory. You will find it in the shops of alchemists, the offices of court magicians of the jarls, the College of Winterhold, you can install it in your own house when you buy it, and various other places. To create a potion, you need two ingredients with the same properties.
You can diversify the recipe by adding a third ingredient.
By creating a potion, you receive either a useful tincture, a poison, or a potion with positive and negative effects. Choosing the appropriate perks will help both the poisoner and the healer.
Ingredients
Alchemy ingredients can be found everywhere in Skyrim. Each ingredient has 4 properties. After eating an ingredient, you can recognize only one of its properties, receiving a certain effect on the character himself. By increasing your skill and selecting the necessary abilities from the alchemy constellation, you will be able to learn all the properties of the ingredient. But you can do it differently: experiment. If the experiment is successful and you create a tincture, you will understand that the ingredients used have the desired property and you will see this property in the list of known effects.

Effects of Alchemical Ingredients
List of all alchemy ingredients, sorted by their effects. It will help you create the potions you need without having to know all the recipes in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim itself. However, it is still recommended to find out all the effects of the ingredients yourself - this is much more interesting. This list of effects can also be called a list of potion and poison recipes. In order to make a potion that matches the effect, just mix any two ingredients from the list. Adding a third can add additional effects to the resulting potion, up to six, so the field for experimentation is quite extensive.
